Metal–Organic Frameworks-Based Membranes with Special Wettability for Oil–Water Separation: A Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

The presence of oily wastewater poses a significant threat to both the ecological environment and public health. In order solve this problem, design preparation an efficient oil–water separation membrane is very important. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are currently promising material for due their tunable wettability, adjustable pore size also low density, high porosity, surface area. Therefore, MOFs-based membranes show great potential in field separation. paper, we first introduce mechanism then comprehensively summarize common methods research progress different membranes, including ZIF series, UiO MIL etc. Finally, analyze challenges faced by provide outlook on future development application.

Bioinspired surfaces with special wettability.

Biomimetic research indicates that many phenomena regarding wettability in nature, such as the self-cleaning effect on a lotus leaf and cicada wing, the anisotropic dewetting behavior on a rice leaf, and striking superhydrophobic force provided by a water strider's leg, are all related to the unique micro- and nanostructures on the surfaces. It gives us much inspiration to realize special wetta...

a new type-ii fuzzy logic based controller for non-linear dynamical systems with application to 3-psp parallel robot

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

SPECIAL ISSUE: EARLY CAREER SCHOLARS IN MATERIALS SCIENCE: REVIEW Molecular sieve membranes for N2/CH4 separation

Natural gas consumption has grown from 5.0 trillion cubic feet (TCF) in 1949 to 27.0 TCF in 2014 and is expected to be ;31.6 TCF in 2040. This large demand requires an effective technology to purify natural gas. Nitrogen is a significant impurity in natural gas and has to be removed since it decreases the natural gas energy content. The benchmark technology to remove nitrogen from natural gas i...

Recent advances in carbon dioxide capture with metalorganic frameworks

Uncontrolled massive release of the primary greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) into atmosphere from anthropogenic activities poses a big threat and adversely affects our global climate and natural environment. One promising approach to mitigate CO2 emission is carbon capture and storage (CCS), in which ideal adsorbent materials with high storage capacity and excellent adsorption selectivity ov...

Microfabricated Palladium-based Membranes for Hydrogen Separation

An innovative process for the microfabrication of Pd-based membranes (Pd and Pd-Ag) on a <110> silicon wafer is presented. Pd-Ag alloy films containing 23wt% Ag are prepared by a dual-sputtering from pure Pd and Ag targets. In the first step, deep grooves are KOH etched in one side of a <110> oriented silicon wafer, leaving membranes with a thickness of ca. 50 μm. After Pd alloy deposition on t...
